Am sick—and I don’t mean in the fun way. I’m alternately sniffly and congested, with that faint but persistent taste of mucus in the back of the throat. Ick.

If I can’t be completely well, I’d actually like to be sicker, because then I could take the day off from work with a clear conscience. But no: I am well enough to make my way here, and just ill enough leech any possible enjoyment from it.

On the upside, it’s snowing. Even though I’ve now spent more than half my life (!) in Noo Yawk, my Miami childhood ensures that I will always regard snow with wonder and delight. At least until it melts into slush and thin, gritty mud, at which point I will grumble and curse along with everyone else.

Oh, hell...

...the boss wants to have a meeting with me tomorrow morning at ten.

This is ungood.
