A Life of Noisy Desperation
Reaction to tonight's DOCTOR WHO, "Day of the Moon"

Dr Who/SPN - angels have the blue box
Did I miss the part of the episode where they explained how everyone escaped the aliens in the warehouse where Amy shot the Littlest Astronaut, and why Canton was hunting Amy, River, and Rory with the Men in Black, and where the fuck the U.S. got dwarf star matter? (Though kudos to whoever thought of using dwarf star matter to build an impregnable room. And I just remembered that the Doctor was being held in Area 51; if there were dwarf star matter anywhere on Earth it would, according to rumor, be there.)

Is it just me, or does Moffat have a thing with characters leaving ominous and incredibly unhelpful messages? Like, "I see them, I think they're asleep. Just get out!" I hope that if I were in that situation I'd be bright enough to eventually record, "They're on the ceiling."

What I did like:
  • President Nixon repeatedly trotted out to serve as a "Get Out of Jail" card.
  • Rory has memories being the Centurion! Please, let him get a wicked awesome fight scene this season.

  • Oh, great, Schrodinger's Fetus.
  • Moffat, what kind of Freudian hellbroth are you brewing?

they got out of the warehouse because River was shooting them. Canton fake killed all of them so he could smuggle them to the Doctor and TARDIS.

I get the motive, but I'm not convinced the deception was necessary. Why not just agree to meet secretly at a predetermined time?

# Oh, great, Schrodinger's Fetus.

LOL, Josh and I made the same joke.

I'm only now getting into new Who; I've been parceling out the Tennant episodes sparingly, to savor the magic. At this rate, I should get to Eleven (although I did see his first episode) in... 2013?
